Arulmigu Veerakkumaraswamy temple is one of the ancient temple in kongu mandalam(kangaya nadu).Name of the place is "vellaikovil" alias vellakovil (or ) vellakoil .
The temple is located in the Tirupur district on karur-Kovai main road at the Vellakovil Town
This temple  belongs to 11 sections of the people of Kongu vellala community.
 Mainly by Andhai Kootam,  Dananjayan kootam,Thazhinji kootam

    Periyanayaki Amman Temple‎ ,Pappini,Kangayam not only belongs to Thodai & kadai, but for kannandhai & Keerai kootam too.

    Hi All,
    I have a doubt. Will a bride from aadhi and a groom from andhuvan kootam marry each other? (where both kootam have same kula Theivam temple as Sri Selvanayaki Amman, Keeranur, Kangeyam)

      Also, a bride from aadhi kootam (Sri Selvanayaki Amman, Keeranur, Kangeyam) and a groom from andhuvan kootam(Sri Sellandiamman & Anai karuppannasamy Nagampalli ,Aravakkurichi ,Karur) will marry each other? Are they pangalis? Kindly clarify me with the above doubts!

      Aadhi & Andhuvan, Saathandhai & Poochandhi, Kannan & Kannandhai should not marry among them... That is, there should not be any marriage between Aadhi and Andhuvan Kulam, Saathandhai and Poochandhi Kulam, Kannan and Kannandhai Kulam... My mother belongs to Saathandhai Kulam and they will not marry in Poochandhi Kulam... I am from Kannan Kulam and We will not do marriage in Kannandhai Kulam...

      For example, kannan and kannandhai kulam are from kannivadi dindugal district and migrated towards erode district, part of thirupur district and namakkal district due to conflict with other caste. People from thodi kulam protected them during, migration. Out of gratitude, They considered thodi kulam as their half pangalis

    apdi paatha max ela kootamum pangali aaiduvanga
    (kannan,senkannan,moda kannan,kaahan kannan, karungannan)(aandhai,poondhai)(poochanthi,saathanthai)
    enaku therinju this are some pangali kootams........

    இந்த பிரச்னை எனக்கும் ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது.... ஓரே குலதெய்வம் 4,5 கூட்டதிற்கு கடவுளாக உள்ளது. நானும் எனது மனைவியும் கூட்டம் வேறாக இருந்தாலும் குல தெய்வம் ஒன்றுதான். பெரியவர் ஒருவர் இதுபற்றி சொல்லும்போது ஒரே குலதெய்வத்தை வணங்கும் வேறு கூட்டத்தை சேர்ந்தவர்கள் ஆயினும் திருமணம் செய்யும்போது பின்னாளில் வாரிசு, உடல் பிரச்னை மற்றும் பிற சிக்கல்கள் ஏற்படுவதாக கூறினார். எனக்கு அவர் சொன்னது அப்படியே பொருந்துகிறது. ஆகவே இதைப்பற்றி விரிவாக நமது பெரியவர்களுடன் விவாதித்து அனைவருக்கும் தெரியப்படுத்தினால் நன்றாக இருக்கும்.
